Admission Guide
Applicants must qualify under one of the following categories (1-3).
- Must have graduated from or be able to graduate from high school by the end of March, 2008.
- Must have completed 12 years of compulsory school education or be able to complete such by the end of March, 2008.
- Must be recognized according to Provision 69 of the Japanese School Law to have achieved an academic level equivalent to or higher than a high school graduation level, or qualify according to one of the following by the end of March, 2008.
- Must have completed 12 years of school education or its equivalent overseas, or have obtained special recognition from the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (hereafter, JMECSST).
- Must have completed education overseas in an educational institution which JMECSST recognizes as having a curriculum equivalent to a Japanese high school curriculum.
- Must have been acknowledged by JMECSST as having completed, or being able to complete a JMECSST-designated specialized training school which offers higher education of no less than 3 years. Completion of education must have taken place after the school had been designated as a qualified school.
- Must have successfully passed or be able to pass the “Certificate for Students Achieving the Proficiency Level of Upper Secondary School Graduates” or the “University Entrance Qualification Examination.”
